Bertram Creek Provincial Park

Well, I went up to Bertram Creek Provincial Park yesterday and man, what another beautiful place to go! It looks like it would be a great day spot for a family or get together with friends. To find it, you take Lakeshore Rd all the way to where it splits into Chute Lake Rd and Lakeshore Road veers to your right. Continue down Lakeshore past Cedar Creek winery for about 6km. Since it's a provincial park, there's lots of signage. Once you come to a paved wall on your left, you're basically there (as a claustrophobe, this freaked me out!!). It will be on your right (derp, where the lake is). There are three entrances to get into the park and I chose the third.

This is a beautiful spot with a  flat green area with a soccer post and many benches that look out to different views of the Westside. There are some trails you can follow around and picnic tables galore. I chose to plant myself on a flat-faced rock near the shore to watch the sunset. It doesn't get much better than that!

Keep in mind this time of year that because the sunsets much later, you might get kicked out before the sun is all the way down. The park closes at 9:00pm and they mean business! Unless you want to get a fine, of course...

The park is a great place for adult, child, and pooch alike.
